RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Norman “Champ” Barre was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Parish of the Holy Savior.
The Rev. Greg Dube was the celebrant, Bernard Poirier was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “You Raise Me Up,” “Ave Maria,” “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Fly Like A Bird.” The Old Testament was proclaimed by Doris Bourret and the New Testament was proclaimed by John Watson. The Prayer of the Faithful was offered by John Watson. Offertory gifts were presented by Lorraine Barre and Diane Roy. Personal reflections written by his grandson, Corey D. Richard, were shared by Doris Bourret.
Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. A reception was served by the Daughters of Isabella in the parish hall.
