Annual White Mass is Feb. 8
LEWISTON — Bishop Robert Deeley will celebrate the annual White Mass on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul.
The White Mass is held annually to thank and bless doctors, nurses, lab technicians, EMTs, dentists and all those who care for the sick. It recognizes that doctors, nurses and other medical professionals carry on the healing ministry of Christ and that caring for the sick and suffering is more than a career; it is a God-given vocation. A reception will follow downstairs after Mass.
