1937 – 2015
FARMINGTON — Dorothy Joan Foley, 77, of Farmington, passed on and went to join her family in heaven on Thursday, Jan. 15.
Dorothy, known to many as “Granny,” was born May 13, 1937, a daughter of Clarence and Gretchen (Ludwig) Perry. She grew up in New Hampshire, attending local schools before moving to Florida.
Dorothy was a determined person who, despite being paraplegic, earned her bachelors degree from the University of Florida at age 50. Granny enjoyed crocheting and fishing, and she loved animals, especially her dog, Rosie. Her zest for life was inspirational.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Merry Tracy-St.Pierre and her husband, Jeff, of Livermore; a grandson, David Lingard Jr. of Florida; and great-granddaughters, Ladesta and Lorayanna Tracy of Livermore.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Lora Rahmlow Lingard; and brother, Morton Perry.
