1918 – 2015

AUBURN — Marjorie E. Orbeton, 96, a resident of Livermore, died Friday, Jan. 16, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn with her loving family by her side.

She was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Richmond, the daughter of Allen Baston and Hazel (MacMaster) Baston. Marjorie was a 1936 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.

On June 26, 1937, in Livermore, she married John “Pete” Orbeton. He passed away on February 16, 1990.

Marjorie had worked as a bookkeeper for several years for Bailey Brothers Ford in Livermore Falls, leaving to raise her family, and returned when her children were older.

She enjoyed walking, crafts, quilting, refurnishing furniture, gardening and feeding the birds. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Gauthier and her husband, Richard, of Greene and Cheryl Bilodeau and her husband, Larry, of Jay; and her son, Dennis Orbeton and his companion, Christine Lee, of Livermore; her sister, Lorraine Mitchell of Freeman; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; her son, Robert Orbeton; six brothers, Vernon, George, Edgar, Bernard, Sherwood and Donald Baston; and her sister, Erleen Wood.
