She was president of the Maine School Food Service Association from 1996-97. Her service was rewarded when she was elected Northeast regional director for the American School Food Service Association in 1999 and 2000, which led to traveling throughout the United States. Cooking was her passion; she also enjoyed catering and entertaining for family and friends. Besides cooking, she loved camping, snowmobiling, playing cards, bird watching, kayaking and interior decorating.
Another passion of Brenda’s was traveling. She and Charlie traveled to the Gaspe and Finland on snowmobile excursions. She also traveled to British Columbia, Alaska and Central America.
