NORWAY — James J. “Jamie” McAllister, 44, of South Paris, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 6, 1970, in Bridgton, a son of Carl and Jean (Truman) McAllister. He attended local schools, graduating from Oxford Hills High School in 1989.

For the past six years, Jamie had worked as a sales representative for Omni Services in Auburn. Prior to that, he had worked at Maine Machine Products, Dielectric, Camp Waziyatah, Swan’s Supply and Oxford Homes.

Jamie was a 21 year member of the Norway Fire Department, including the Firemen’s Relief Association. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and cooking.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne “Sue” (McMorrow) McAllister of South Paris, whom he married on June 30, 2007, in Bethel; a son, Michael McAllister of South Paris; his father, Carl McAllister of Norway; a step-son, Alex Kent of South Paris; mother-in-law, Maria McMorrow and her companion, Freeman Dalton, of West Paris; brothers, Steve McAllister and his wife, Daphne, of Norway and Scott McAllister and his wife, Lou, of Carry, N.C.; a sister, Becky McAllister Toothaker of Norway; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Jean, on Feb. 6, 2010.
