1971 – 2015
MONMOUTH — Michael N. St. Jean, 43, of Monmouth, went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with brain cancer on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born on Sept. 15, 1971, in Lewiston, a son of Jacques and Pauline (Couture) St. Jean. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools there. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1990. After high school, Michael attended Central Maine Technical College and graduated in 1992 with a degree in carpentry. After college, Mike was self-employed as a carpenter specializing in cabinetry until 2013. During that time, he met and fell in love with the love of his life, Stephanie Johnson, and the two married on Nov. 7, 2009, at South Lewiston Baptist Church and shortly thereafter started a family together. Also during this time, Mike worked for TD Bank as a bank specialist, and eventually moved up to a centralized resource agent.
Mike will always be remembered for his love of downhill skiing, camping and campfires, snowmobiling, kayaking and his passion for carpentry. He also adored all of the special time he could spend with his family.
He is survived by the love of his life, Stephanie St. Jean and their two sons, Caleb, 3, and Joshua, 11 weeks, all of Monmouth; along with his parents, Jacques (Jack) and Pauline St. Jean of Lewiston; his brother, Marc St. Jean of Ocala, Fla.; his niece and nephew, Faith and Noah Perrier of Sabattus; his mother and father-in-law, Dianne and Tom Johnson of Monmouth; as well as many cousins.
He was predeceased by his sister, Danielle Perrier in 2010.
