1949 – 2015

LEWISTON — Normand P. Dupere, 65, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on May 1, 1949, the son of Andrew and Florence (Nadeau) Dupere. Normand grew up in Auburn and attended Auburn schools.

He worked at Bath Iron Works for over 31 years, until his retirement.

Normand loved his antique cars, especially going to junkyards looking for cars that he may restore. He also enjoyed bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha (Spaulding) Dupere, whom he married in 1983; his brother, Lucien and wife, Gigi, of Lewiston; his daughters, Katherine Garland of Auburn, Teresa Medina of Florida and Wanda Cerniglia of Arizona; grandchildren, Natasha Christl, Tanya Goodwin, Pablo Medina Jr. and Kyle Cerniglia; five great-grandchildren; nieces, Lisa Bisson and family and Lorraine Bowen and family; and his aunt, Marguerite Nadeau.

He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Gilbert; daughter, Jennifer-Lynn Goodale; nieces, Tammy and Cathy Dupere; and by one great-grandson.
