LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Club will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the Lewiston Armory in the Drill Room.

The Valentine king and queen will be crowned.

The group met on Jan. 5 and had lunch from Kentucky Fried Chicken and a cake to celebrate January birthdays.

Members recognized Anna Faucher who turned 95 years old this month.

Sen. Nate Libby joined members for the meal. He let members know that he is available to answer questions about the legislative process and about what is happening around the State of Maine.

He can be contacted if anyone wants someone acknowledged for something they did or for a special birthday or event. Also, he is available for tours of the State Capitol.

The group’s second annual potluck luncheon will take place at noon on March 2 in the regular meeting room. Call or go to the office with information on what you are bringing. For members who cannot bring a food item, the cost of the lunch will be $3.

On April 24 the seniors will hold their annual fundraiser at the Lewiston Armory. Dr. Drew and His Animals Too will entertain children and their families. More information will be available in the next few months.

The following trips are being planned:

April 11-19, Nashville show tour; July 26-31, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island; Sept. 12-20, Mackinac Island, northern Michigan.
