1937 – 2015
FARMINGTON — Marie Wade, 77, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the Sandy River Center nursing home in Farmington. She was formerly of Rumford.
Born in Rumford on Nov. 10, 1937, she was a daughter of Jack and Iola (Turner) Dewar. She was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1955.
Marie enjoyed crafts, sewing, knitting, shopping and yard sales, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Le Paresseux Snowshoe Club in Rumford.
Survivors include two daughters, Molly Bee Young and her husband, Kyle, of Ellicott City, Md., and Sandra Wade and her companion, Charles Yates, of Vienna; a son, Jeffrey Wade and his wife, Cheryl, of Byron; grandchildren, Travis, Zachary and Joshua of Ellicott City, Md., Cole and Amelia of Vienna and Craig and Allyssa of Peru; a great-grandson, Arthur; two sisters, Janice Pettegrow and her husband, Dale, of Rumford and Peggy Mills and her husband, Michael, of Rumford; and a brother, Lawrence Dewar and his companion, Theresa Bouchard, of Rumford.
She was predeceased by a son, Danny Ladd; a sister, Barbara Jamison; and a brother, John Dewar.
