STANDISH — Authorities say a woman whose car was struck by a fully-loaded logging truck in Maine has suffered serious injuries.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says 72-year-old Helen Dobosz of Seekonk, Mass., was driving through an intersection in Standish around 4:30 p.m. Friday when her car was hit on the passenger side by the logging truck. She had to be extricated from the vehicle before she could be taken to a hospital for treatment. Her car was completely destroyed.
The truck’s occupants were not injured.
An investigation is continuing.
