1953 – 2015

DURHAM — Conrad R. St. Hilaire, 61, of Durham passed away at his home Tuesday, Jan. 20.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 10, 1953, a son of the late George and Simonne (Thibault) St. Hilaire. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools.

In 1972, he entered the Marine Corps and served his country for four years until 1976.

In 1978, he married his loving wife, Pam D. Libby, and they started a family together. During that time, Conrad worked for more than 25 years as a stage builder for B.I.W.

He will always be remembered for his love of fishing, his dog, Meatball, and spending quality time with his family, especially the outings at Point Sebago.

He is survived by his only son, Adam St. Hilaire of Gray; his four sisters, Pauline Smith and her husband, Robert of Litchfield, Claudette Julia and her husband, Bill, of Fairfield, Monique Russell of Lewiston, and Rose Begin and husband, Sonny, of Lewiston; his three brothers, Robert St. Hilaire of Lewiston, Raymond St. Hilaire and his wife, Carol, of Schenectady, N.Y., and Reginald St. Hilaire and his wife Mary of Auburn. He also leaves behind a grandson, Orion St. Hilaire; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pam St. Hilaire in 2007; and a sister, Linda St. Hilaire.
