1929 – 2015
LISBON — Thomas B. Whittingham, 85, of Lisbon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 17.
Tom was active in the First Assembly of God Church and the Royal Rangers, an activity-based youth group church ministry. He loved all kinds of sports, especially the Red Sox.
Tom was born on April 7, 1929, in Lewiston. He attended schools in Lewiston and served in the U.S. Navy.
He married Betty Anne Hodsdon and together, they raised two children, Claudia and Tommy. They were married for 60 years when Betty Anne passed away in 2007.
Tom is survived by his children, Claudia of Lisbon and Tom of Washington; his grandchildren, Laura Carpenter of Vermont, Connie Carpenter of Auburn and Felix Szepanski and his wife, Fiona, of Winsted, Conn., and five grandchildren in Washington. He also is survived by 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Winston.
