ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — Grace (Skillings) Yates, 89, of West Paris, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, in Zephyrhills, Fla., after a short illness.

She is survived by four children, Eva “Polly” Durant of Otisfield, Hilda Taylor of Zephyrhills, Fla., and West Paris, David Yates of Waterford and Alvin Yates of West Paris. She was the beloved grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 30 and great-great-grandmother of 10.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Yates; and one daughter, Beverly (Yates) Andrews.

Grace worked for many years at the B.E. Cole Shoe Co., in Norway. Later, she traveled extensively around the country with her husband as he drove tractor-trailers.

After retirement, they enjoyed a six-month motor home trip to Alaska.
