RANGELEY — Timmy White piled up 23 points, Ricky Thompson helped out with 12 and Orrin Mitchell scored 11 as Rangeley topped AR Gould 68-33 in a boys’ basketball game Wednesday.

By halftime, the Lakers (4-10) led 30-11 and dropped another 38 points in the second half.

Keegan Gaouette scored 14 poins for AR Gould.

Cape Elizabeth 69, Poland 50

POLAND — Eddie Galvin scored 16 points and Ethan Murphy added another 12 as Cape Elizabeth (11-2) shook off Poland (7-8) with a 69-50 in a boys’ basketball game Wednesday.

The Capers held a 30-10 lead at halftime. Justin Guerrette scored 14 points for Cape Elizabeth.

For the Knights, Alan Young dropped in the game-high 24 points.

Rangeley 95, Kents Hill 6

RANGELEY — The Rangeley girls’ basketball team roared out to a 41-0 lead in the opening quarter and never looked back in a convincing 95-6 win over Kents Hills Wednesday.

Junior Michaela Shorey lead the Lakeres (14-0) with 16 points and seven rebounds. Seve Deery-Deraps added 15 points while Taylor Esty had 14. Freshman Sydney Royce chipped in 12 points and had eight steals. Blayke Morin added 10 points and five assists.

The Lakers had 34 totals steals in the game. In addition to Royce’s eight, Maddie Egan had seven and Celia Philbrick had six, while also scoring ei
