FARMINGTON — Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County will kick off its annual Work Healthy program by hosting a roundtable luncheon featuring “Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction: Tools for Reducing Stress at Work.” Kathleen Hickey, M.D., and Tim Davis, P.A., will be the presenters.
The luncheon is free and all local businesses are invited to attend to network and learn more about wellness efforts from health experts and community partners. The luncheon will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, in the Chisholm Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
HCC encourages and supports businesses to provide health screenings, smoking cessation classes, nutrition education, and a welcoming environment for new moms returning to work. Businesses are invited to attend quarterly work site wellness roundtable luncheons to learn more.
To register for the Feb. 13 luncheon, email [email protected] by Feb. 6. For more information about the luncheon or the HCC Work Healthy award program, contact Heather Fellman at 207-778-2934.
