1942 – 2015

LISBON FALLS — Joseph A. Zarrilli, 72, of Lisbon Falls, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

He was born in Yonkers, N.Y., on March 5, 1942, a son of the late Anthony and Lillian (Moilanen) Zarrilli. He grew up in the Yonkers area and attended local schools. He was the valedictorian of his graduating class in 1960.

After high school, Joseph entered the U.S. Navy for four years and then transferred into the U.S. Coast Guard until his honorable discharge in 1984, after which time he resided in Lisbon Falls. During his time in the Coast Guard, he worked as an electrician and stayed in the trade even after leaving the military. He worked for the Masonrite Corp. as an electrician until his retirement in 2008.

He will always be remembered for his love of motorcycles, being a “movie buff” and being a fan of golf and Tiger Woods.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kathleen St. Laurent and her husband, Robert, of Lewiston, and Michelle Pelletier and her husband, Darren, of Lisbon Falls. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
