1950 – 2015
RUTLAND, Vt. — Michael W. White, 64, passed away Friday, Jan. 30.
He was born in Hardwick, Vt., on June 16, 1950, to George and Mary (Judd) White. He grew up in Plainfield and graduated from Lebanon High School.
Mike enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served in Southeast Asia. Following his honorable discharge, he returned home and began his family with Deborah Hallock. He was later was married to Bonnie Lord in 1991.
Mike worked for Saint Johnsbury Trucking Co., and he served as the director of the Charlestown, N.H., Recreation Department. He also worked for West Central Behavioral Health.
Mike was a member of AA and the ALS Association. He enjoyed the opportunity to help others whenever possible, participating in ALS walk-a-thons, fundraisers and boating. He was most passionate about his children and grandchildren, whom he loved greatly.
He is survived by his three sons, Shilo White, Jason White and Travis White; four stepdaughters, Lauri Farris, Kathy Farris, Stacy Martin and Heidi Farris; six brothers, David, George Jr., Alan, Peter, Johney and Jeff White; one sister, Donna Triano; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by father, George White; and wife, Bonnie Lord.
