1936 – 2015

BUCKFIELD — Geraldine C. Smith passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 24, with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Our mother’s love lives on in the lives she touched in the dreams she nurtured, in the hearts that hold her close.

Geraldine was born in Marshfield, Vt., on June 29, 1936, a daughter of the late Richard and Ila Curtis. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1955. Prior to retirement, she was employed with the accounts payable department at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, swimming, dancing, cross-country trips, camping and spending winter months in Florida.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and Literary Club, both in Buckfield, and the Maine and Florida Garden Railroad Club.
