1917 – 2015

BATH — Christine P. Ladd, 97, of Woolwich and formerly of East Andover, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Winship Green Nursing Center.

She was born in Andover on Dec. 17, 1917, the daughter of Jesse and Winnifred (Learned) Glover, and graduated from Andover High School, where she was president of her class.

Christine enjoyed reading and knitting, and made mittens for Santa’s Helpers. She also enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband.

She was married in Andover on June 1, 1940, to George M. Ladd; he died in Rumford on June 11, 2003.

Survivors include a daughter, Lane McDonald and husband, Robert, of Rumford; son, Jack Ladd and wife, Helen, of Woolwich; brother, Sylvanus Glover, of East Andover; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
