AUBURN — Center Street Dental is celebrating National Children’s Dental Health Month with its fourth annual poster contest. All K-6 children from Androscoggin county are invited to participate.
The theme for the poster contest is “Brave Smiles.” Submissions will be divided into two categories, grades K-3 and 4-6.
Scholarship money will be awarded to the top three posters in each category, and matching donations will be awarded to the art departments of the winners’ schools. The prizes are $500 for first place, $250 for second and $150 for third. Scholarship prize money will be deposited into Education Savings Accounts created for the winners.
The top-prize winner will also receive a 60-day family membership to the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA. The second- and third-prize winners will receive 30-day family memberships.
Center Street Dental permits one submission per student, and they ask that submissions be no smaller than 8.5 by 11 inches (standard letter) and no larger than 22 by 28 inches (standard poster). Submissions can be dropped off at their office at 26 Cross St. during normal business hours, Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to noon.
The deadline to enter is noon Friday, Feb. 27. Winning posters will be displayed at Center Street Dental.
