FARMINGTON — Police are investigating an apparent drug overdose that resulted in the death of a Farmington man.
Floyd Patrick, 34, was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital shortly after 10 p.m. Monday and later died, Farmington Deputy Chief Shane Cote said.
Police were called to Patrick’s home on Lamkin Lane, off High Street, by his girlfriend. Patrick was unresponsive and there was evidence of drug use, Cote said.
Police are waiting for the medical examiner’s toxicology report to confirm the type of drug, he said.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency assisted Farmington police, Matt Cashman, MDEA supervisor, said Friday.
