1921 – 2015
LEWISTON — Vivian Florida Ouellette, 93, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born in Salem, Mass., on Sept. 9, 1921, the daughter of George and Florida (Pellitier) St. Pierre, and was the older sister of Doris. Upon graduating from Salem High School, she married Henry Louis Ouellette of Salem, and with him raised a son, George, and daughter, Susan.
She was a successful business owner, operating a hair salon out of her Salem home for more than 40 years, before retiring to Newport Richey, Fla., in 1983, where she resided for 22 years.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Susan (Ouellette) and her husband, Timothy Emmert, of Auburn; grandson, Michael Emmert and his wife, Misty, and their children, Madison, McKenzie and Cassidy, of Auburn; and grandson, Jeffrey Emmert and his fiancée, Jenelle Fecteau, of Auburn.
She was predeceased by her son in 1990 and her husband in 1994.
