1930 – 2015
LEWISTON — Anita L. Olehowski, 84, formerly of 116 Pond Road, died peacefully Friday, Feb. 6, at Marshwood Center, with family by her side.
She was born in Sanford on Oct. 7, 1930, the daughter of Ernest and Helena (Guertin) Arel. She was educated in Auburn schools and was employed for many years as a spinner for Bates Manufacturing in Lewiston.
In October 1958, she married Paul Olehowski. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by a son, James C. Palmer Jr. and wife, Sylvia, of Auburn; a daughter, Sandra L. Potvin and husband, Michael, of Sabattus; a sister, Pauline Janelle, of Tolland, Conn.; grandchildren, Eric Palmer and wife, Amanda, of Oxford, Danielle Potvin and fiance, Travis Leonard, of Lewiston and Brandon Potvin of Sabattus; and great grandson, Cameron Palmer.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul; a brother, Armand Arel; and her parents.
