1936 – 2015

LISBON FALLS — Frank R. “Bob” Pelkey, 78, of 112 Main St., Lisbon Falls died peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

He was born in Mount Chase on Sept. 23, 1936, the son of Leslie and Nina Pelkey. He was educated primarily in Lisbon Falls.

He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956.

On June 14, 1958, he married the love of his life, Donna Huston. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years together. They settled locally, where he built his home and raised his family.

He spent most of those years as a carpenter and a few years as a truck driver and a sales man for Builder’s Supply.

He enjoyed family, friends, gardening, fishing, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. His greatest joy was giving tractor rides to his children, grandchildren and many friends. He loved helping others.

He was a hardworking and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and brother. Bob delighted everyone with his quick wit. He was truly a treasure and will be dearly missed.

He leaves behind his wife, Donna; daughters, Deborah and Marc Roy, Beth Pelkey and Jack Graf, Dawn and Greg Pray; grandchildren, Heather and John, Robert, Jarad and Ashley, Aphtyn, Cale, Taylor, Hailey, Sara and Ethan and Kimber and Carlos; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Katelyn and Jayce, Sebastian, Avery, Keiran and Quincey, and Autumn; sisters, May Roberts, Dorothy McCrater and Delana and Benny Skelton; and brothers, Leslie and Shirley Pelkey and William and Barbara Pelkey.

He was predeceased by two sisters, a brother, a nephew and his wife.
