Rumford Area Quilters to meet
RUMFORD — RAQ (Rumford Area Quilters) will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street. All area quilters are invited.
A demonstration is planned on how to cut large pieces of fabric as well as more information on the Jellyroll Challenge. The next step for the mystery quilt will be available. Show and tell is always a favorite portion of the meeting.

Socrates Cafe will meet March 2
NORWAY — Socrates Cafe scheduled for Feb. 9 was canceled due to snow.
The group will next gather for its regularly scheduled March meeting. The topic and moderator will remain the same.
The meeting at the Waterford Library on Monday, March 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., will discuss “Does Climate Change Change Everything?” Moderator will be Bart Hague.

FARMINGTON — A free Loaves & Fish lunch will be held every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through March 25 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Farmington Falls Road. All are welcome.

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Emblem Club No. 460 will hold a Valentine dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Farmington Elks Lodge.
Entertainment will be provided by Legends.

FARMINGTON — A free community luncheon will take place at noon Saturday, Feb. 14, at Old South First Congregational Church.
The menu consists of beef stroganoff served over egg noodles, sweet green peas and chocolate cake.

Blessing of the Sleds is Feb. 14
MEXICO — The 18th annual Blessing of the Sleds will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Mountain Valley Middle School.
The blessing will be at noon.
Food includes Don’s famous French fries, the Meatmans sausage, burgers, hot dogs and drinks.
New blessing sweat shirts will be on sale.
The school is just off snowmobile trail ITS 82 and will be marked on the trail.
Sno-Goers to hold Windtower Ride
ANDOVER — Snow Valley Sno-Goers will hold the Windtower Ride on Sunday, Feb. 15. Snowmobilers will begin arriving at 8 a.m. at the clubhouse, located off Route 5 in Andover.
A led ride will begin from the clubhouse at 10 and a hot dog and chili luncheon will be served at the clubhouse following the ride.
Cost for the ride and lunch will be $10 per person, $8 for club members and advance registration. Children under 10 will be free.
