1923 – 2015

LEWISTON — Jeannette C. Doyon, 91, of Lewiston, died peacefully at her residence on Sunday, Feb. 8.

She was born in Augusta on May 20, 1923, a daughter of the late Adolphe and Marianne (Lapointe) Champagne, and had been a resident of this community for most of her life.

She was employed for many years in the local textile industry, until her retirement.

Jeannette enjoyed crocheting. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.

She is survived by her husband, Fernand B. Doyon, of Lewiston, whom she married on Aug. 12, 1946; one daughter, Lorraine Locke and her husband, Ronald, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Michelle Webber and Darren and Dan Locke; two great-grandchildren, Erica and Ryan Webber; two sisters, Theresa Cote and Lorraine Hopkins, both of Augusta; and many nieces and nephews.
