1934 – 2015

WEST PARIS — Barbara A. Sampson, 80, formerly of Lisbon, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, at Ledgeview Living Center.

Barbara was born in Portland on July 31, 1934, a daughter of Presley A. and Marie E. (Porter) Johnson. She attended Portland schools and graduated from Portland High School.

Barbara married George W. Sampson Jr. on June 27, 1958, and was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed traveling, reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her three sons, Stephen Sampson and his wife, Marie, of Lewiston, Richard Sampson of Florida and William Sampson of Lewiston; several brothers and sisters; and three grandchildren.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, who died on Oct. 26, 2013.
