DENMARK —  The Denmark Arts Center’s Capital Campaign recently announced that 115 individual donors have collectively contributed more than $50,000 toward the center’s future. The campaign raised funds for an expansion of the facilities by means of a proposed purchase of a residential property in downtown Denmark.

The board and staff of the DAC thank all those who have made donations. It is not every day that a little arts center tucked into the folds of Western Maine is given such an honor.

To celebrate the milestone, the center is sponsoring a Midwinter Beach Party on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Depot Street Taphouse, 18 Depot St., Bridgton. The party will feature a Ukulele-singalong, limbo and Hawaiian shirt contests and a classic Hawaiian snacks.

Drink specials and a suggested donation of $10 will further benefit the Denmark Arts Center’s current capital campaign. For more information, go to: http://www.denmarkarts.org/capital-campaign/.
