Saddleback is offering free wedding services to any couples wishing to get married or to renew their vows this Saturday, Valentines Day, on the mountain. One couple has already reached out to Saddleback General Manager Chris Farmer to announce that they plan to make the drive to Saddleback on Saturday to take their wedding vows.
“We are thrilled there are some outdoorsy couples who want to be married on a beautiful Maine mountain,” said Farmer. “This has become a popular annual event. Anyone who wants to be wed or renew their vows is invited between 12-2 pm on Saturday.” Farmer, who is a licensed attorney, will be performing the ceremonies free of charge.
“All people need to do is get to the top of the Kennebago lift,” said Farmer. “I will be waiting to help them renew their vows, or take them for the first time.”
Saddleback is offering, a special Valentines Day Fireside Dinner menu, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a host of other special events during Valentines Day and over the rest of the School Vacation Week.
The nuptials kick off a weeklong schedule School Vacation Week Activities, including:
- Maine Comedian, Bob Marley on Tuesday, Feb 17.
- The Annual Torchlight Parade and Fireworks on Thursday, Feb 19.
- Friday Night Lights Rail Jam on Friday, Feb 20.
- And Saddleback’s new Fireside Dining, to be offered Valentines Day and on most nights during Vacation Week.
“February Vacation Week is one of the best weeks of the season, said Farmer. “There is so much snow this winter, we can barely contain ourselves.”
