AUBURN — Vascular-endovascular surgeon April Nedeau, M.D., will be the keynote speaker at a Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute special event set for Wednesday, Feb. 18, in Auburn.
Nedeau will discuss “The Treatment of Arterial Disease in Women” at the second annual “Her Heart,” a special luncheon from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Speakers at the event will discuss the facts and myths concerning women and cardiovascular disease, including the latest news on research and treatment options.
Also making presentations will be physician assistant Tiffany Charleson, WomenHeart Champion Tricia Cwiklinski, and yoga instructor Tisha Bremmer.
Charleson will talk about “Risk Factors for Vascular Disease and Treatment Options.” Cwiklinski will present “What Every Woman Should Know about Heart Disease,” and Bremmer will explore the topic of “Motivation and Health.”
The $25 registration fee includes lunch, health risk screenings and an information fair. All proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association’s Central Maine Heart Walk.
