1933 – 2015

LEWISTON — Rita DiConzo, 81, of High Street in Rumford, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Rumford on May 22, 1933, a daughter of Antonio and Velma (Baker) DiConzo, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1951.

Rita worked at J.J. Newberry’s Department Store and then at Casco Bank for many years, until her retirement as head teller from Key Bank in Rumford.

She was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church. She enjoyed Sudoku puzzles, knitting, spending time at camp on Thompson Lake and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her brother, Antonio T. DiConzo Jr., of Rumford; her godchild, Meegan DiConzo, of Buxton; and cousins, Frank DiConzo and Nick DiConzo and wife, Bernice, of Rumford, and Thomas Baker of Orono.
