BRUNSWICK, Maine — Brunswick police Thursday released a security camera photo of the man who robbed The Bank of Maine branch in downtown Brunswick on Wednesday afternoon.
The security camera photo shows a white man in his mid-20s pointing a gun at a teller working at the bank’s 137 Maine St. branch just after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The man reportedly demanded cash before he fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
On Thursday, Brunswick Police Cmdr. Mark Waltz said the man left the scene in a car that appeared to be a Saab.
The suspect is described as weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark khaki-colored pith helmet, glasses that looked like goggles, a tan neck warmer or scarf, tan jacket, white-washed jeans and white sneakers.
Brunswick police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation continue to investigate the robbery. Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call 725-5521.
