1924 – 2015

FARMINGTON — Inza Lillian Stanley, 90, of Jay, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Feb. 22, at Sandy River Center in Farmington.

Inza was born on April 29, 1924, in Strong, the daughter of John Smith and Doris (Ross) Smith. Inza attended school in Wilton.

She married Joseph Hebert and had three children, Joanna, Robert and Philip “Terry” Hebert.

She later married Raymond Stanley on Sept. 30, 1955, in Jay. They had one son, Ronald “Ronnie” Stanley. Raymond passed away on March 4, 1966.

Inza worked for Forster Manufacturing for 28 years.

She was a very devoted member of the Jay Baptist Church and choir, taught Sunday school, served as Sunday school superintendent for many years, and served on the Flower and Supper committees. She was always willing to lend a hand for anything that the church needed.

She enjoyed crocheting and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Stanley and his wife Debra; sisters, Myrtle Allen and Beverly Cox and her husband, William; brothers, Everett Smith and his wife, Joyce, Maurice Smith and his wife, Julie, all of Jay; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Donna Hebert of Canton.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Joanna Quirrion; sons, Robert and Philip “Terry” Hebert; three brothers, Arnold, Jack and Philip Smith; granddaughter, Barbara Louwers; and great-grandson, Christopher Crocker.
