FARMINGTON — A Mt. Blue High School senior who was expelled in November for selling a marijuana muffin to a student on a school bus has been given permission to return to school.
Regional School Unit 9 directors unanimously voted Tuesday to readmit the student, Superintendent Tom Ward said Thursday.
The student had to follow the re-entry program administrators set up. It included counseling, keeping up on school work, community service, going through a drug/alcohol course and agreeing to a blood test before re-entry, Ward previously said.
The student met with Ward, who determined he was ready to go before directors to request readmission.
“We were very satisfied with his efforts and so was the board,” Ward said.
