LITCHFIELD — Charles B. MacDougall, 84, of Litchfield, died Sunday, March 1, at his home.

He was born in Mechanic Falls on June 26, 1930, the son of John and Florence Lowell MacDougall. He attended Poland schools and had been a machinist/mechanic at Oakdale Motors. He also worked as the night janitor for Catholic Charities of Maine.

He lived in Litchfield for more than 60 years. He was a master Mason, an avid hunter and fisherman and climbed Mt. Katahdin at the age of 75. He had a great sense of humor and helped many people over the years.

He is survived by his daughters, Pauline Roderick and husband, Bill, of Clinton, and Christina Beaulieu and husband, Albert, of Sidney; his fiancee, Jojo Belanger, and her children, Chris Belanger, Kala Belanger and Courtney Belanger, whom he thought of as his own; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Phillip MacDougall and a daughter, Johanna MacDougall.
