POLAND — Range Ponds State Park in Poland, Maine is hosting the Hooked on Fishing Kids’ Ice Fishing Derby.
The event lasts from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday and includes free fishing traps for the first 500 registered children age 12 and under and the first 100 Special Olympic entrants. It includes free bait on a first come, first served basis. The event costs $1.50 for people ages 13 to 64, while everyone else will be free.
There will also be cross-country skiing trials and food vendors.
