GORHAM — The 2015 Maine Engineering EXPO will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the University of Southern Maine.
Hosted by the Maine Engineering Promotional Council and part of Maine Engineers Week, the EXPO will feature Maine’s top engineering firms, engineering schools, educators, government agencies and industry and engineering societies, providing hands-on activities and exhibits throughout the USM field house.
More than 1,700 children and adults are expected to attend based on previous years. The EXPO is meant to not only demonstrate the many contributions Maine engineers make to Maine and their communities, but to encourage youth to pursue careers in engineering.
The EXPO is open to the public. A $2 donation per person at the door is suggested. The first 600 people through the door receive a free T-shirt celebrating Maine Engineers Week.
