OXFORD — Oxford Hills Veterans, their families and dependents are invited to attend a benefits information presentation and discussion from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the Anderson-Staples American Legion Hall, 169 King St., beginning with a meet and greet at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments.

“Nobody understands the needs of veterans more than the American Legion. We know the challenges facing veterans and their families and we know and understand how difficult it is to keep up with the benefits and entitlements they earned during service to our country,” said Rick Nugent, Anderson-Staples Post 112 service officer. “We support our fellow veterans and their families by ensuring they receive the information, help and benefits they deserve. We’re here for them now because we’ve been there before.”

This is the second in a series of scheduled seminars this year by Post 112. Areas of discussion will be the role of the Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Benefits Administration, VA pensions, vocational rehabilitation programs, claims processing and more.

For additional information, call Rick Nugent at 595-4200 or email your questions to [email protected].
