Did that suddenly stop? It was interesting to see new additions to a lot of families in the community. Hope those announcements come back. — C. G. of Lewiston.

ANSWER: The Sun Journal publishes birth announcements as they are received, after they have been processed and when there is space in the paper to publish them. We often have more birth announcements than we have the space to publish, so we’ve only been able to run them in batches about once a month for quite a while now. Sometimes a little more often, sometimes a little less often.

The most recent batch of birth announcements was published on Friday, March 6. Prior to that, we ran birth announcements on Jan. 2, 9 and 10.

DEAR SUN SPOTS:  What would we do without you? I came to you before and got help. Here I am again. I had my roof shoveled and now have a lot of snow on my deck. I’m wondering if two or three young men could shovel my deck in Lewiston. I’m willing to recompense. Thank you so much. Email mem6pep@earthlink.com or call 207-782-1602. — No Name in Lewiston.

GOOD MORNING SUN SPOTS: I’m looking for yoga classes for beginners/older adults (60 plus). Any help would be appreciated. — No Name via email.

ANSWER: Sun Spots called four local exercise centers and learned that the Health & Fitness Center at Central Maine Medical Center, 207-795-2473 offers a slow-paced yoga group class. They offer a yoga punch card that allows for a certain number of visits for a specific fee.

The HealthSteps Fitness Program at St. Mary’s Auburn Campus, 207-777-8898 offers a slow yoga program which charges a drop-in rate or rates for full sessions.

The YMCA, 62 Turner St. in Auburn, 207-795-4095, offers day rates; members can attend the beginner yoga class at no charge. This class instructs in proper breathing techniques, body alignment and meditation.

The YWCA at 130 East Ave. in Lewiston, 207-795-4050, just started some new exercise programs but yoga did not seem to be among them.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking to purchase a board game called Aggravation. It is similar to Parcheesi, but is played with marbles. It is also sometimes called Dirty Marbles.

I am hoping that one of your readers might have one in good condition that they no longer use and would be willing to sell. I will pay a reasonable price for one. Thanks. — Peg in Mexico.

ANSWER: Whether or not it will be in stock on the day you visit, Sun Spots doesn’t know, so you might want to call Wal-mart in Auburn at 207-784-0738 to find out. Also, the Sears Authorized Hometown Store at 600 Center St. in Auburn may be able to get the game for you and offer free store pick up. Call 207-333-3670 and ask. Sun Spots checked with three other stores and did not find any other retailers that carry that game.
