The exhibition of the Castle Polka at the society hop given in Ridgely hall, Lewiston, Thursday evening, by Mr. Dillon and Miss Raleigh was exceptionally pretty. The dance is simple and one which will be sure to become popular with those who enjoy the society dances. The Lulu Fado, Maxixo and fox trot were also danced in exhibition to the pleasure of the onlookers. Chandler’s orchestra furnished excellent music with only society dances being on the dainty programs. During the dance Mr. Dillon and Miss Raleigh willingly assisted those who were learning the new dances, the affair being delightfully informal. Punch and fancy crackers were at hand through the evening. Another hop will probably be given in two weeks.
