1923 – 2015

FARMINGTON — Marjorie T. Pritsky, 91, a former resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Tuesday, March 10, at the Sandy River Center.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1923, the daughter of Walter L. Thomas and Frieda (Luther) Thomas in East Sumner. Marjorie graduated from Nutley High School in New Jersey in 1941.

On Oct. 2, 1943, she married Boris Pritsky and had three children.

For many years, she worked as a secretary for the superintendent of schools for Livermore Falls, and also served on the school board. She was a member of North Livermore Baptist Church and was well-known for her excellent cooking, especially for her doughnuts.

She is survived by her son, Richard Pritsky, of Vermont; her daughter, Deborah Christensen-Plavchan, of Kentucky; five grandsons, N. Todd Pritsky, Christian M. Christensen IV and Matthew, Sean and Blair Christensen; two great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; nephews, Walter “Chip,” Edward and Clay Thomas; nieces, Denise Moser, Becky Thomas Land, Kim Pates, Dawn Gentry and Wendy Barnies; and good friend, Rosie Wilcox, of Jay.

She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Boris Pritsky, in 1982; her son, Michael “Skip” Pritsky, in 2007; and her brothers, Humbert, Walter and Lawrence Thomas.
