FARMINGTON — Arts Institute of Western Maine will present a Listen Local Youth Recital  at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 15,  in Nordica Auditorium, Merrill Hall, University of Maine at Farmington.

This concert will feature a lineup of talented youth from the area. Performing will be Eli and Miriam Cohen (percussion and fiddle), Katherine and Thad Gunther (voice and piano), Megan and Natalee House (piano), Gretchen Huish (voice), Silas Rogers (fiddle ) Elysia Roorbach (dance and piano) and a vocal quintet made up of Katherine Gunther, Abby and Emily McCarthy, Sawyer Zundel and Tom Eng. Admission to the concert will be by donation, which will go toward a fund to refurbish the Falcone grand piano in Nordica Auditorium.

Preceding the local youth recital at 1:30 p.m., the Bangor Area Children’s Choir, directed by Robert Ludwig, will perform in the auditorium. Donations for this concert will also benefit the piano restoration fund.

The Listen Local concert series is a recent effort by AIWM to provide performance opportunities for talented local performers. More information about the series and an application for performers can be found on the AIWM website at www.artsinstitute.org. AIWM is an affiliate of UMF.
