1931 – 2015

YARMOUTH — Jean M. Paradis, 83, of Lewiston, passed away Wednesday, March 11, at Brentwood Nursing Home.

He was born in Lewiston on May 22, 1931, and was a graduate of Assumption College in 1950. Following college, Jean served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He owned and operated Paradis Insurance for 45 years, until his retirement.

He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, the former council No. 106, where he served as the grand knight for several years.

Jean is survived by his sons, Thomas Paradis and Larry Clukey, both of Lewiston; his granddaughter, Sasha Paradis, of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Clukey, who died on July 28, 2000; and several brothers and sisters.
