AUGUSTA — The 26th annual Maine Women’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Silver Tea will be observed on Saturday, March 21, at Jewett Hall at the University of Maine at Augusta. Each year’s ceremony is held at UMA during March in observation of Women’s History Month.
The Silver Tea and Registration will be from 1 to 2 p.m. The 26th Induction Ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. to honor two new inductees:
* Ellen F. Golden of Woolwich, senior vice president at Coastal Enterprises Inc., founder of the Women’s Business Center at CEI and a Founding Board Member of the Maine Women’s Policy Center.
* Dr. Barbara W. Woodlee of Vassalboro, longtime president of Kennebec Valley Community College who helped pave the way for women in higher education.
Golden’s was nominated by Ronald L. Phillips, president and CEO of Coastal Enterprises Inc.
Woodlee was sponsored by Dr. John Fitzsimmons, president of the Maine Community College System.
