OK, call me a shameless self-promoter, but March is easily the best time to follow me on social media.

This is counterintuitive, of course, because there is absolutely nothing happening in terms of high school sports, now or in the foreseeable future.

Maybe that’s part of the appeal. I’m cantankerous, cooped-up and a little punchy. I’m experiencing most of my sports intake through television, where people say stupid things and make me wonder how they are gainfully employed.

So here I sit, beverage in one hand, smartphone in the other, and vent 140 characters at a time. It’s devoid of context and lacking in the logical development of an impassioned argument. Kind of beautiful in its simplicity, actually.

And it gets me thinking: What if every column were just a series of Tweets and one-liners? Get in, make a point, get out, and let you question my sanity.
