1931 – 2015

Franklin O. Swan Sr., 83, died Friday, March 13, at the Greater Rumford Community Center.

He was born in Andover, May 3, 1931, the son of Melissa and Walter Swan. He lived in Lewiston for many years.

His hobbies were hunting and fishing, and he loved spending time with his family. He was also an animal lover.

Franklin was married to Louise Swan for almost 50 years; she died May 30, 1999.

He is survived by his daughters, Bertha Wakefield and Mina Chadwick; three sons, James, Franklin Jr. of Lewiston and Walter of Brunswick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by son, George; daughters, Vicky and Vanessa; brothers, Harry and Jack; and sister, Lillian.
