To the editor:
Francis Palmer and his family would like to thank friends, neighbors and family members who have given support after his recent hip surgery.
Throughout the healing process, he has been blessed to have a great team from Androscoggin Home Health — Leeann our RN, Jennifer the physical therapist, and Michelle our CNA. We also want to thank the great staff and doctors at Stephen’s Memorial Hospital; the care and the compassion was top notch.
Also, we appreciate the help that came in the form of the Bethel Ambulance Team and the crew from PACE. A big thank-you to Gary Clegg and his friend for being there to call 911 and for getting us the help we needed. It still goes to show that folks are still around to help one another when the chips are down.
A special thank-you to his nephew, Kenny Bachelder, for being our “chief snow-removal guy.” He was also there every time we called.
A personal thank-you goes to his daughters Bea Leonard and Melissa Palmer-Karas for caring and making daily phone calls to check in on the healing process.
Lastly to his loving wife, Louise Palmer — she has been the angel who was needed to get him back on his feet.
Again, thank you to all. It really has helped in so many ways.
Melissa Palmer Karas, Waldoboro
