1952 – 2015

LEWISTON — Deborah Jean (Brennick) Simpson, 62, of Lewiston, lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, March 19, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born on April 4, 1952, in Rumford, the oldest daughter of John and Louise (Fisher) Brennick. She was a graduate of Stephens High School.

Debbie’s greatest accomplishment was becoming a CNA, but above all else, she loved being a grandmother. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.

Debbie is survived by her companion of 21 years, David Gemmecke; her nine daughters, Buffy Fata and husband, Matt, of Natick, Mass., Kim Shaw and husband, Dan, of Windham, Beth Rush and husband, Steven, of Oak Harbor, Jami Simpson and Dave of Lewiston, Jody Simpson and fiancé Ray, of Greene, Kristin Simpson and fiancé, Manuel of Turner, Dawn Simpson of Auburn, Cari Simpson and boyfriend, Josh, of Lewiston, and Kacie Simpson and wife, Sydney, of Oak Harbor. She is also survived by her 15 loving grandchildren, Riley, Ben, Dylan, Taylor, Steven, Connor, Jack, Sam, Maddison, Lily, Justina, Taya, Kali, Haileigh and Parker; one great-grandchild, Cami; her sisters, Gail Gaudin, Gloria Carter, Carol Nadeau, Pam Bryant, Kelly Brennick; and her brothers, David, John, Michael and Mark Brennick.

She is predeceased by her parents.
