LIVERMORE FALLS — National Library Week starts April 12 and Treat Memorial Library is planning to celebrate during the month.
The library is an official site for International Table-Top Game Day on Saturday, April 11. The day will be celebrated from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The day was established three years ago as a way to celebrate and promote table-top gaming, which includes card games, board games and dice games. Table-top gaming offers such a variety that there is something for everyone. Bring games or enjoy the ones provided. Play an old favorite or try something new.
The Teen Writers Group will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Teens interested in writing fiction, nonfiction (including memoir), poetry or whatever inspires, are invited to attend.
The Spring Book Club is up and running. The members have decided on the theme of Maine authors. A local, self-published author will take part in the group and there will be an opportunity to discuss her book. Meeting dates are Thursdays, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9 and Aug. 20.
A home school meeting will be held Thursday, April 16. Homeschooler or those interested in starting homeschooling are invited. Children are welcome and there will be activities provided.
Library staff thanks AmVets Post 33 in Jay, which donated to the garden fund and everyone who gave during the bottle drive.
There is new art hanging in the Maine room thanks to some talented Livermore Elementary School artists.
The knit/crochet group will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28.
Preschool Story Time is held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays and Family Story Time at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays. There will be stories, activities, songs and crafts. Saturdays are also drop-in Craft Day.
